2. Data processed and purposes

• Browsing data (IP address, server logs): collected automatically by the hosting provider for the technical operation and security of the site. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Contact data (name, email, phone and message content) provided voluntarily by writing to info@a176lab.it or by phone: used solely to respond to your request. Legal basis: pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Job application data (name, email, phone, area of interest, message and CV) submitted through the Careers page: used only to evaluate your application. Legal basis: consent and pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(a)–(b) GDPR). CVs are stored in a protected area accessible only to authorised staff and are not publicly available.
• Interactive map: the plant map uses base-map tiles from OpenStreetMap/CARTO. The base map is loaded only if you consent via the initial banner (“Enable the map”); at that point your IP address is sent to those providers’ servers. Without consent the map still shows the plants, without the base map. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time via the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer.

3. Cookies and tracking tools

• A technical session cookie is used only in the administration area, which is not accessible to visitors (exempt from consent under Art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code).
• Your banner choice (map on/off) is stored in your browser’s localStorage (no data is sent to us or to third parties).

Bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile): the application form on the Careers page is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which verifies that submissions come from a real person without using profiling cookies. During the check, your IP address and some technical browser data are processed by Cloudflare Inc. Legal basis: legitimate interest in the security of the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

4. Recipients and transfers

Browsing data is processed by the hosting provider acting as data processor. Voluntarily loading the map involves sharing your IP address with the OpenStreetMap Foundation and CARTO (whose servers may also be located outside the European Economic Area, subject to the safeguards under Art. 44 et seq. GDPR). No data is disclosed to third parties for commercial purposes.

5. Retention

Technical logs are retained for the period set by the hosting provider. Email communications are retained for as long as necessary to handle the request and any resulting contractual relationship.

6. Your rights

Under Articles 15–22 GDPR you may at any time exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection by writing to info@a176lab.it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority.

This notice may be updated; the version published on this page is the one in force.
